Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to elevate the ruana and the poncho —iconic pieces of our identity— into globally desired objects, optimized for the modern world.
To design our products, it is necessary to follow a series of steps in order to achieve a product that meets the requirements that are the DNA of our brand: quality and unique garments.
A blanket may have a beautiful design, but if the fiber has not been properly dehaired and washed, it will have a rough texture. Or if it has been made with a very thick yarn, it will be heavy and impractical for the user.
For us, choosing each yarn, its washing and care are an important part of the process, carried out with as much attention as its subsequent weaving.
Part of our work consists of enhancing the creativity of each artisan, creating new designs according to the needs of buyers, following fashion trends and our own inspiration as we travel to each place in search of this experience. We take care of the details that make each garment unique and have the DNA of the person who made it.
It is important for the buyer to appreciate that there may be 100 blankets of the same colors and the same weave, but they are 100 unique blankets, because each one was made by different people, with different fibers, and at different times; there will never be two identical blankets.
Today, Fair Trade and Sustainable Fashion not only represent a concept of social valuation and commitment, but they are also part of the new luxury. These concepts have been placed at the top of the social pyramid, being promoted and supported not only by governments but also by corporations that seek to convey this concept to their customers.
